About The ‘TRIGGER’ Project

‘Food anaphylaxis is now the leading single cause of anaphylactic reactions treated in emergency departments in Westernized countries.’

Prof. Hugh A Sampson, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, USA.

‘TRIGGER’ was created after Filmmaker and Mother, GRACE FARAH, whose six year old daughter suffers from severe food allergies, started school.

‘I quickly realised that the stress and concern we experienced trying to keep our daughter safe was then transferred onto her teacher, who experienced the same worry while in her duty of care.’
During one conversation, her daughter’s teacher expressed a wish that she had something to ‘show students and parents’ to educate them on the real dangers of food allergies and the potential lethal reaction they have and consequently- ‘TRIGGER’ was born.

There is a REAL NEED FOR AWARENESS;

The ‘TRIGGER’ project aims to raise public awareness our hope is that by doing so, we will avoid preventable accidents and save lives.
